I have many reasons for home educating.
My reasons are anchored in these key components.
- to honour the need for children to be with attachment figures
- for more time outside in nature
- for more play
- for more time to be imaginative and creative
- for more opportunity to nurture a growth mindset
- to limit the use of technology
- to offer an intrinsically motivated education
- to follow the child
- to have a more connected family
- to have a broader curriculum
- for more quiet time
- for more movement
- for more freedom
- to learn by doing and using concrete materials
- to hold my children close. Because I want their family to be their biggest influence.
